POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including assisting with recruitment, benefits, administer leave, 401k administration, learning and development, and enforcing company policies and practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with benefits such as open enrollment and vendor management

  • Administer the learning and development of employees and maintain the LMS
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and registering in ADP
  • Assist with 401k administration
  • Conducts and schedules interviews, collaborates with departmental managers and HR personnel to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Assist recruiter with talent management
  • Implements and conducts new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and various types of leave
  • Assist with disciplinary matters
  • Create/maintain various reports, at the request of the HR Manager
  • Assist with performance and talent management, recognition, and morale
  • Familiar with Federal and State laws
  • Handles inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Refer complex and/or escalated matters to the appropriate staff
  • Recommended best practices, reviews policies, and assist with compliance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required, and at least four years of human resource management experience preferred

  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
  • Bilingual strongly preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Thorough knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and regulations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, prioritize tasks, and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is preferred or any HRIS, ATS, and LMS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
