POSITION SUMMARY
Manage relationship with customers to achieve annual sales objectives. Develop and implement sales plans for achieving sales objectives. This position will support markets in Arizona or Southern California.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are the usual major job duties but this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties by the incumbent.
- Negotiate motor inquiries
- Assemble technical/commercial proposal data
- Make customer presentations
- Develop product knowledge of all products
- Provide feedback on competitive pricing and strategy
- Be proficient in the order entry process
- Lead selling team efforts
- Make sales calls on customers
- Be cognizant of antitrust laws and company policies
- Counsel and assist in training Associate and Inside Negotiators
- Develop a proven track record in sales by selling a minimum of 100% of assigned loading
- Establish, implement, review, and modify sales plans jointly with TWMC to sell and service assigned customers
- Provide technical assistance to customers in the selection, application, operation and maintenance of TWMC products and services
- Be aware and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities. Communicate such information to the operating divisions.
- Develop and maintain a cooperative and credible working relationship with other TWMC personnel to assure that the customer receives the best possible unified effort and service
- Manage expense allowances to obtain greatest return on investment and submit an expense report by the end of each month
- Support the Total Quality effort by:
- Providing timely, accurate information for order entry
- Elevating quality issues to the attention of management
- Ensuring that accurate information flows to and from our customers
- Serving on quality action teams as directed by management
- Implement new product introductions and programs
- Collect, analyze, and utilize market intelligence data on customer needs, preferences and buying habits, as well as that of competitive manufacturers
- Prepare sales/budget forecasts and a Commercial Operations Report by the end of each month
- Provide necessary reports, surveys and marketing information in a timely manner, as requested by your manager
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

SCOPE, PURPOSE, AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS
The position requires daily contact with customers, inside and Associate Sales Representatives, and TWMC marketing personnel
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven track record of successful sales in Field Sales positions dealing directly with customers. Use computer software programs of Excel, Word and PowerPoint to write reports or create presentations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and one to two years of experience as an Inside or Associate Sales Representative and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic product/market/application knowledge
- Willingness to relocate
- Lead, train, and serve as a role model for Associate and Inside Sales Representatives

POSITION SUMMARY
Administer general orders as assigned to ensure that all contractual obligations are satisfactorily completed resulting in customer satisfaction and prompt payment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow all Customer Service Module procedures as defined in the appropriate docushare section.
- Hold, attend and/or request contract meetings.
- Gather all necessary information to complete the TECO-Westinghouse shop order and/or clarify information requested by the customer. Schedule drawings and revisions.
- Administer the procurement of customer furnished items.
- Determine "hold status" and follow all held shop orders to release consistent with customer requirements.
- Close contact with Order Service Representative.
- Meet with customer representatives concerning orders.
- Works closely with purchasing to order parts for Modification orders.
- Acquires proper GOA approvals per GOA policy.
- Coordinates drawings needed on machining modifications with modification shops.
- Notify field sales and customer regarding shipping dates and date changes.
- Review and process customer change notices. Negotiate price and delivery changes.
- Coordinate with production planning on all reschedules.
- Determine all software required prior to or at shipment and make sure that submittals are timely.
- Meet with customer inspectors or witnesses and host their visits.
- Coordinate the receipt of shipping addresses and approvals.
- Coordinate with Controller and QA departments to clean up shortages and suspense items.
- Process all Controls Package Orders

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor degree (Engineering and/or Business Administration preferred) from four-year college or university. 0-3 years related contracts and/or motor experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations.
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Sr. Accountant II

POSITION SUMMARY
This role is a senior level contributor to our Accounting team. As such, the Sr. Accountant II will plan, develop, coordinate, administer and perform the principal accounting and financial activities of the company, utilizing the latest techniques, procedures and methods. The role may also train or guide junior team members, as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare consolidated and stand-alone financial statements for US, Canadian, Chinese and Mexican based entities.
- Manage external audit process to ensure the data is provided and in compliance with the regulations.
- Develop, review or implement new procedures, methods, systems and techniques for processing financial data. Ensure adequate controls and utilization of the latest and best accounting principles.
- Advise accounting management of the current business costs and trends, and prepare and issue reports concerning such costs and trends to ensure that financial objectives are met.
- Assist in the preparation of costing rates used to develop product costs and establish standards or objectives.
- Investigate the costs variance and explain the cause and effect. Propose to the management of corrective action.
- Provide technical guidance, instruction and assistance to lower classified accounting personnel.

- An advanced degree (MBA) may be substituted in lieu of some of the experience requirement (up to two years).
- To be qualified for this position, an individual must possess these critical skills and/or abilities and must be able to demonstrate the use of them.
- Extensive experience with personal computer software, including spreadsheet and word processing programs, is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- CPA preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong communication and people skills are essential for effectively interacting with customers.
Computer skills required: Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Power Electronics Engineering Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
TECO-Westinghouse is seeking a Power Electronics Engineering Manager to support the design and manufacturing of industry-leading medium voltage motor drives, power converter products and energy storage and management solutions. The Engineering Manager is a working engineer who also leads a development team responsible for design and development of reliable and cost effective motor drives, power conversion products and systems, including system architecture, inverter/converter topologies, printed circuit boards, thermal management and electrical cabinets. The position requires excellent technical engineering knowledge coupled with solid people leadership skills, proficiency in product development, project management and quality systems.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide engineering leadership and design oversight functions for product development of medium voltage motor drives and power converter products, including: creating and maintaining product development plan and executing the overall plan throughout various phases of product life
- Lead development of product requirements, specifications, design, prototype and test plans
- Coordinate internal/external design reviews, agency approvals, field testing and commissioning
- Responsible for successful project execution measured in terms of cost, safety, performance and delivery schedule
- Actively take part in the design process and approval of design concepts. Utilizes best practice engineering methods and provides expert technical guidance for engineering activities.
- Develop and improve product development processes and procedures
- Troubleshoot and debug power electronics systems, conduct failure analysis and corrective actions
- Provide in depth design for manufacture (DFM) feedback to the production team to ensure that the assembly processes are cost efficient, robust and deliver high quality results

POSITION SUMMARY
The employee has experience with test setups, static testing of all major product types (AC induction, AC synchronous and DC) and dynamic testing AC induction motors (both routine and complete tests without supervision). The employee can operate all significant test equipment and AC systems.
The Test Technician III performs final acceptance testing and certain in-process testing of Motors, VFD components, assemblies and/or systems in a production environment. Assist engineers with troubleshooting test failures, and with determining root cause and corrective actions. Basic understanding of electric motors, VFD’s, transformers, electrical testing equipment and electrical safety procedures is required. Experience with voltages above 1,000V and/or with large industrial, electric motors is also required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tests a variety of systems including, but not limited to: medium voltage drives, rotational apparatus (generators and/or motors) and systems comprised of some combination of drives and rotational apparatus. Testing will be conducted utilizing a multitude of electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic metering/measuring systems. Must be familiar with the use of advanced hand tools such as torque wrenches and dial indicators.
- Prepare for, and conduct, a wide range of electrical, thermal and mechanical tests under direction from engineering personnel, senior technicians and the Test Manager.
- Coordinates and participates in installing units or systems to be tested in test fixtures, connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical or electrical controls, cabling, tubing, power source and indicating instruments. Installs low and medium voltage equipment (120V – 15,500V) as needed in preparation for final acceptance and/or systems testing.
- Wires assemblies and subassemblies per schematics and point to point wiring diagrams.
- Interfaces various electrical components with measurement equipment and data acquisition equipment.
- Activates controls to apply electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or mechanical power and subject test item to successive steps in test cycle.
- Able to electrically and mechanically test components or assemblies, record data and create reports as necessary.
- Collaborates with engineering personnel to resolve problems relating to specifications and to review test plans such as types and cycles of tests, conditions under which tests are to be conducted, and duration of tests.
- Applies pass/fail criteria to tests performed and notifies the proper personnel as to the results.
- On a limited basis, maintains production test equipment including troubleshooting, minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Aids in test planning as well as with devising new fixtures, processes and methods for new or revised tests for all product lines. Assists with developing, maintaining and revising forms, process specifications, work instructions and test data. Provides feedback for improvement of processes.
- Troubleshoots and understands test failures and able to correct basic issues including, but not limited to, data collection errors, blocked/recirculating airflow, cocked bearings, imbalance, rubs and instrumentation problems.
- Applies knowledge and skills previously learned to new and unique situations presenting a challenge to the team. Includes making physical modifications to test setups and tooling as required using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Constantly strive to improve safety and integrity of production and test areas.
- Frequent customer contact is required. Must communicate test progress and results with customers frequently throughout each test.

SCOPE, PURPOSE AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS
Test personnel have daily contact with customers through witness tests.
In addition, there is daily contact with other employees at all levels of TWMC including, but not limited to, the Design Center, Factory Operations, Planning, Sales & Marketing and Service. Individuals must work well with their team members as well as other groups within and outside of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum of one year experience testing large (>1,000 HP) industrial electric motors – AC induction, AC synchronous and DC.
- Minimum of one year experience working with voltages above 7,000 VAC.
- Knowledgeable with respect to technical content and application of motor testing specifications.
Experience preferred, but not required:
Electrician’s license preferred – either Master or Journeyman
- ISO 18436-2 Category II or higher vibration analyst certification preferred

• Prepare credit review package for customer accounts including credit reports, financial statements, bond ratings, 3rd party credit references, payment history, etc.

POSITION SUMMARY
Review customer specifications and requirements to price service repairs, components, field service and associated service product lines. Sales Manager
Active - FULL TIME REGULAR
POSITION SUMMARY
Manages sales activities of domestic sales. Position leads sales team focused on OEMs, Distributors or National Accounts. Must have solid industry experience selling motors or drives. Must be willing to travel 50% of the time. Location is negotiable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates
- Directs staffing, training, and performance management to develop and manage field sales personnel
- Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals
- Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques
- Assigns sales territory to company sales representatives and manufacturers’ representatives
- Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales
- Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives
- Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
- Personally manages relationships with key customers
- Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units
- Presents regional financials, strategies, and activities to the executive team and other stakeholders
- Promotes teamwork between other sales regions and TECO-Westinghouse Headquarters
- Promotes teamwork in "cross border" opportunities with TECO-Westinghouse Motors Mexico and TECO-Westinghouse Motors Canada Inc.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements
- Oversees field sales offices to ensure proper and professional operations, including site selection, purchase and use of office equipment, furnishings, communication resources and company records
- Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications
- Prepares reports for product General Managers showing sales volume, potential sales, credit and areas of proposed existing customer base expansion and for new customer
- Request Grants of Authority (GOA) requests to product General Managers to promote customer requirements that exceed company policy
- Assists and provides sales report input for product research and development
- Monitors, evaluates and provides field intelligence for activities and products of the competition
- Assists in customer invoice collection
- Travel to Taiwan and Mainland China to support company related business including customer factory visits
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

SCOPE, PURPOSE, AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS
The position requires daily contact with all levels of TECO-Westinghouse and customers including Engineering, Marketing, Factory Operations, Supply Chain, Service and Accounting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven track record of successful sales in field sales positions dealing directly with customers. Ability to use computer software programs of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Ability to write reports and prepare presentations using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Write speeches, reports, manuals, correspondence, and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
- Effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervisors field sales personnel in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
