Service Shop Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

The Service Shop Technician performs various tasks related to large electric motor repair, including visual inspection, measurement, testing, cleaning, disassembly, component repair or replacement, and re-assembly after repair. Work is normally performed on-premise, within the shop environment, although there may be occasional need/opportunity to travel in support of field service work.

Work is performed in accordance with established work instructions, specifications, and project specific work plans. Assignments are expected to be performed with general direction, and are received from a Team Leader or Supervisor. The individual will also assist more highly skilled team members and will assist and train lower level team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Primarily works in the designated service area, but may also be required to work in a variety of manufacturing areas to include machining, winding, coil and other assembly, painting, testing and shipping, on an as needed basis.
• Visually inspects incoming motors received for repair, noting overall condition, defects & damage.
• Performs initial disassembly, inspection, testing, and measurement of subassemblies or components.

Warehouse Coordinator (Temp to Hire)

POSITION SUMMARY

Assists with shipping and receiving of inventory in a warehouse environment. Compiles records concerned with cycle count, receiving, storing, issuing and other miscellaneous. Conduct inventory transactions.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure data integrity within SAP system, performs shipping, receiving and inventory transactions. Updates cycle count program as needed or requested, researches inventory discrepancies and reports findings to Inventory Control Specialist.
• Ensures that all daily shipping, receiving and inventory transactions are done real time.
• Works closely with RR in reporting receiving discrepancies regarding containers from Taiwan and Stock transfers from other locations.
• Prepare shipping docs such as: Packing lists, bill of lading, airway bills and shipping labels.
• Maintain daily shipping log to ensure all requested orders are shipped the same day.
• Inputs all shipping charges and tracking numbers the next morning, for tractability purposes.
• Unloads/loads trucks and containers. Maintains neat and clean warehouse. Uses FIFO (first in, first out) inventory method to ensure oldest motors and parts are shipped first.
• Ensures that containers from Taiwan are unloaded, verified and moved to proper location expeditiously and SAP is updated.
• Follows company's carrier routing guide based mode transportation, trust time and destination. Adheres to customer's routing requests.
• Schedules trucks for daily shipments.
• Follows corporate guidelines in selection and use of Common and Airfreight carriers
• Runs daily transaction reports to ensure all daily transactions are posted correctly.
• Negotiate and buy tools and other shop supplies and services required to support shipping activities (with approval).
• Monitor the maintenance of warehouse equipment.
• Assist Branch Coordinators in modification process.
• This position may be required to fulfill regular on-call responsibilities as detailed in the TECO-Westinghouse On-Call Pay Policy.
• Support Customer Service to answer phones, check stock, prepare orders and track orders as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY

Creates complex parametric and non-parametric 3D models, detailed product drawings, drawings revision, bill of material, detailed product design layouts, schematics and other documents necessary to build the product according to customer specifications and performance requirements, and meeting schedule deadlines. While receiving directions from engineers and pertaining to product conceptual design, the Designer is expected to exercise broad latitude in detailing product components and sub-systems, guiding and ensuring Design Technicians’ work follow established design guidelines and product design objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support product development by identifying design and layout constraints, generating and reviewing models, layouts, sketches and related documentation necessary to determine product functionality and feasibility
• Check in and check out CAD models and other documents into PDM system following established procedures, and ensure others in the project team follow established procedures. Monitor check in and check out process and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support other departments by addressing technical questions
• Interpret manufacturing drawings including dimensional tolerances, geometric tolerances and spatial relationships

The Power Electronics Senior Engineer is responsible for identifying solutions for electrical applications involving variable frequency drives, electric motors, switchgear, utility power interface, renewable energy and battery energy storage system, as well as developing control for such applications. This position requires hands-on engineer skill in system design, drawings, PLC program, troubleshoot and commission.

• Reviews and analyzes customer requirements and specifications for electrical system, utility interface, battery energy storage, motor drives, solar PV system and other electrical equipment
• Assists sales and marketing in reviewing and developing proposals for electrical system and motor drive applications
• Identifies, specifies and selects components such as electric motors, drives, starters, switchgears, transformers, power converters/inverters and other components used in electrical and power applications
• Performs electrical power system studies including distribution assessment, motor performance, protection coordination, arc flash and short circuit analysis
• Develops control algorithms for electrical systems, and program PLC as needed
• Creates one-line diagrams, schematics, load lists, cable schedules, and elevation & plan view drawings as required for project documentation
